Fried Meatballs - {Qofte Te Ferguara} Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground lamb, beef or chicken |
1 | Stale bread - broken up | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped feta cheese |
1 | Onion - finely grated | |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
Crushed dried mint leaves | ||
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Flour |
1 cup | 237ml | Oil |
Combine meat, bread, feta cheese, onion, salt, pepper and mint to taste. Form into 1/2-inch thick patties, cylinders or balls. Roll in flour and fry in oil heated to 350 to 365 degrees.
Serve these hot with French fries or mashed potatoes.
